TRADES
Just like the Regular Army, most Reserve units require a diverse mix of trades and specialisms. Depending on your skills and interests, you may be eligible to transfer into one of these roles, which vary by unit type. Opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Driver – Gain specialist driving licences and qualifications for a range of military and civilian vehicles.
- Chef – Deliver high-quality catering in challenging environments, with training that leads to recognised civilian qualifications.
- Military Specialist Administrator (Clerk) – Provide essential administrative and personnel support, developing strong organisational and IT skills.
- Combat Medical Technician – Train in life-saving medical care, with qualifications that can transfer to civilian healthcare roles.
- Communications Specialist – Operate advanced communication systems, supporting command and control in complex environments.
- Tank Crew – Serve as part of an armoured team, mastering cutting-edge technology and tactics.
- Army Musician – Perform in prestigious military bands, combining musical talent with military service.
Additional Opportunities:
- Engineering and Technical Roles – From vehicle maintenance to specialist trades in signals and electronics.
- Logistics and Supply Chain – Manage equipment, resources, and distribution in dynamic operational settings.
